About Us

Rowden Software Solutions was founded by Terry Watts in September 2002. Educated at Kings College, Taunton and Exeter University Terry is an Analyst Programmer and has worked in the IT contract market for over 20 years.

On finishing his degree in Computer Science he worked for 2 years as a 3D Graphics Programmer using C++ for a leading motion capture company in Oxford.  From there he worked on a US Defence project after which he started contracting in the telecoms sector for Motorola and D2. Terry has also worked on projects for various financial institutions including Abbey Life, Fidelity, SWIS Stock Exchange, HMRC.

Commissioning Management System (CMS) launched
The first CMS Project for the Oil & Gas industry commenced in September 2002. Working with Dexcrest, a leading engineering consultancy, the first application was for Burlington’s Rivers Field development. The CMS has since been used on three other projects including two for Chevron.

Rowden Software Solutions was set up to facilitate development as the Completion Management System (CMS) project grew larger and the software was improved and factored into reusable components to meet the changing requirements of the successive projects for the Oil & Gas industry. The CMS system can also be applied to other area – indeed anywhere where the development is complex and the testing detailed.
